A Really Sad Fail

In 2004, Muzzammil Hassan founded Bridges TV, the first English-language, American TV station designed specifically for Muslims. Among the reasons cited for creating this station was a desire to eliminate the stereotype that all Muslims are violent by presenting the perspectives of those with moderate views. As Hassan explained, "...American Muslims are deeply committed to changing perceptions of Muslims around the world."

In 2009, Hassan beheaded his wife in his office outside of Buffalo, NY. Great job dispelling those stereotypes.
